- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I scheduled an appointment for travel vaccines and talked to two different staff members on the phone and they both insisted that they don't bill my insurance, instead they will bill me directly. I was surprised so I asked to talk to the manager, and my call was transferred to the head nurse who was not available. I left a voice mail but never heard back from her. When I actually visited the clinic to get my vaccines the following week, they suddenly turned into insurance experts! They insisted that I need a referral to get coverage! After more than half an hour of talking I told them to just bill me because I can just file a reimbursement claim with my insurance. In the end, it took more than two hours for me just to get in. This is not the first time I am disappointed with Oakwood. But this is the last time I will ever go to any Oakwood or Oakwood-affiliated business. I'd much rather drive a whole hour to Ann Arbor or Detroit and receive good and timely service rather than wait two hours and have frustrating talks with the staff.March 10, 2017by Ganj Beebani
